Senior Operational Command and Control (C2) Planner [Colorado Springs, CO]

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide C2 planning and course of action (COA) development expertise in accordance with current Joint Warfighting Concept, Adaptive Planning and Joint Targeting processes
• Use strategic guidance and objectives to help inform and synchronize US Space Command and US Space Force planning
• Design and advocate for optimized C2 constructs and data processes for US Space Command and US Space Force capabilities
• Support rapid prototyping strategies aligned to the CSO priorities by providing technical, operational, and risk assessments
• Work across space mission and program boundaries to identify common program challenges and risks, provide enterprise recommendations, and lead issues to closure
• Serve as C2 domain expert on multi-disciplinary teams
• Serve as a key technical contributor on space prototype/system readiness review teams and provide impartial technical assessments to decision authorities
• Work closely and effectively with internal and external partners in integrated product teams that include government, industry, FFRDC members, and collaboration across Aerospace
• Maintain positive working relationships and customer satisfaction
• Communicate effectively with customers and management through timely reporting of technical issues, analysis reports, and recommendations

This position will be filled as a Senior Engineering Specialist.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree from a recognized institution in an appropriate subject area
• 12 or more years of relevant career experience, to include background as a space operator with Air Operations Center (AOC) experience, or equivalent (air, ground, maritime domain)
• Experience in battle management and/or command and control operational planning
• Experience with operating or developing BMC2 systems
• Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team and manage multiple simultaneous tasks
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Active Top Secret SCI security clearance / SAP clearable
• Willing to travel approximately 25%

• Advanced degree from a recognized institution in an applicable STEM concentration
• Air Force/Navy Weapons School graduate
• Understanding of JADC2 and ABMS concepts
• Joint Planning experience with a Combatant Command J3/5 or Joint Staff J3/5
• Air Battle Manager (ABM) experience in the Air Force/Navy
• Familiarity with agile, MBSE, digital engineering, or related subject area
• Familiarity with C2 software and data architectures
• Experience with US Space Force, SSC, or NRO programs / customers
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and willingness to take initiative
• High level of creativity, initiative, and innovation
• SAP/SAR accesses

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
