What You'll Be Doing
- Provide C2 planning and course of action (COA) development expertise in accordance with current Joint Warfighting Concept, Adaptive Planning and Joint Targeting processes
- Use strategic guidance and objectives to help inform and synchronize US Space Command and US Space Force planning
- Design and advocate for optimized C2 constructs and data processes for US Space Command and US Space Force capabilities
- Support rapid prototyping strategies aligned to the CSO priorities by providing technical, operational, and risk assessments
- Work across space mission and program boundaries to identify common program challenges and risks, provide enterprise recommendations, and lead issues to closure
- Serve as C2 domain expert on multi-disciplinary teams
- Serve as a key technical contributor on space prototype/system readiness review teams and provide impartial technical assessments to decision authorities
- Work closely and effectively with internal and external partners in integrated product teams that include government, industry, FFRDC members, and collaboration across Aerospace
- Maintain positive working relationships and customer satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with customers and management through timely reporting of technical issues, analysis reports, and recommendations
This position will be filled as a Senior Engineering Specialist.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree from a recognized institution in an appropriate subject area
- 12 or more years of relevant career experience, to include background as a space operator with Air Operations Center (AOC) experience, or equivalent (air, ground, maritime domain)
- Experience in battle management and/or command and control operational planning
- Experience with operating or developing BMC2 systems
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team and manage multiple simultaneous tasks
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Active Top Secret SCI security clearance / SAP clearable
- Willing to travel approximately 25%
How You Can Stand Out
We would be impressed if you have any of these experiences:
- Advanced degree from a recognized institution in an applicable STEM concentration
- Air Force/Navy Weapons School graduate
- Understanding of JADC2 and ABMS concepts
- Joint Planning experience with a Combatant Command J3/5 or Joint Staff J3/5
- Air Battle Manager (ABM) experience in the Air Force/Navy
- Familiarity with agile, MBSE, digital engineering, or related subject area
- Familiarity with C2 software and data architectures
- Experience with US Space Force, SSC, or NRO programs / customers
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and willingness to take initiative
- High level of creativity, initiative, and innovation
- SAP/SAR accesses

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$170,000 - $189,000 - $208,000
Pay Basis: Annual
