As a Senior Principal Engineer, Network Services, you will support the development of Intelsat's network services catalog and support the product team in the ideation stage of the product life cycle.
Are you up to the challenge?

• Maintain the development pipeline of network services
• Conduct PoCs with APIs, managed applications and services
• S upport modernization of legacy applications and services
• S upport development and testing of service monitoring and orchestration tools .
• T est protocols and standards for Lifecycle Service Orchestration
• Evaluate MEF APIs for Lifecycle Service Orchestration
• Support the Lead Architect for Network Infrastructure and Services
• Contribute toward execution of the technology roadmap for network innovation
• Create and maintain communication channels with key stakeholders
• Develop presentations for internal and external customers
• Design and maintain project and technical documentation

You should definitely have:

• A bachelor's degree in engineering or technology
• At least 10-years of relevant experience with network engineering/architecture to include experience with end-to-end ground network design and architecture, with subject matter expertise in this area.
• Understanding of managed services provided by telecom service providers including managed router, managed security and firewalls, managed WiFi, trunking, mobile edge compute, IOT, Carrier Ethernet, Cellular Backhaul, etc.
• Ability to solve complex problems, build consensus, and achieve project schedules.
• Technical expertise in networking technologies: LAN, WAN, IP, BGP, MPLS, EVPN, VXLAN, 802.1Q, 802.1AD, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to senior leadership, influence stakeholders and garner their support
• Knowledge of MEF 3.0 and other relevant standards as they apply to network services and orchestration
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
• This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee)

It would be nice if you had:

• Experience working with Standards Definition Organizations
• Technical expertise with technologies: Linux, CentOS, VMWare, KVM,JSON, REST, YANG, NetConf, RestConf, OSI model, Ethernet, IP, UDP/TCP
