About the Role
Caribou is looking for a Senior Principal Product Manager to help drive the vision and strategy for the next generation of our lending platform, that can power both marketplace and direct lending business models. Your experience will guide what components of the platform can be acquired as SaaS vs. those that we seek to develop as proprietary Caribou capabilities that create differentiation. Your job will be to partner with design, data science, engineering and operations to determine how we drive towards greater operational efficiencies through our platform.
As a senior member of the product team, this role will lead the charge on driving the product vision for this critical component to our story of how we scale the business. In this role, you will:
- Drive the strategic vision for the lending platform strategy with the CPO, CTO and senior members of the technology, product, design and operations leadership.
- Drive the selection process of 3rd party SaaS capabilities
- Pair with Engineering, Technology & Security leadership on ensuring the lending platform is aligned with the architectural principles for Caribou
- Pair with an Engineering & Product Leadership to lead the incremental development, deployment and adoption of the lending platform capabilities.
- Partner with key stakeholders in our analytics, lending, and operations team to understand the customer and process pain points, and develop creative solutions to address them.
About You
We want to hear from you if you love thinking about how data and seamless customer experiences can transform industries. You have:
- 12+ years of experience in product management, GM or other relevant experience
- 10+ years of experience in the development of digital consumer lending products
- The ability to lead the development of product vision, strategy, roadmaps and manage of the end to end product development lifecycle
- Knowledge and understanding of the lending systems landscape, inclusive of alternative data ecosystems and AI powered verification platforms that can be used to power consumer lending experiences.
- The ability to drive trade-offs and prioritization of initiatives, capabilities and business cases with a variety of senior stakeholder groups, inclusive of members of the BoD.
- Superb verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing executives and evangelizing to stakeholders

- Base salary of $225-275k annually
