Your Team: 

The UX team at Seesaw is a lean group of creative minds dedicated to crafting seamless and user-centric experiences that redefine the landscape of elementary education technology. We believe in the power of design thinking and meticulous research to drive innovation in our mission to empower educators, students, and families.

Your Role:

As Seesaw’s Senior Product Designer, you'll spearhead the creation of design solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance lesson organization and information hierarchy. From creating user-friendly UX documentation to facilitating partnership with our engineers, your contributions will produce high-quality, user-centric results aligned with business goals in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Independently create product designs solutions, from small enhancements to new features.
  • Work with our product library team to enhance lesson and activity content organization and information hierarchy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define use cases, design flows, inform your design decisions, and create intuitive solutions.
  • Produce UX documentation such as navigational flows, clickable prototypes, and wireframes prioritizing teacher and student experiences.
  • Develop diagrams, journey maps, storyboards, user flows, and other design artifacts for effective communication throughout the design process.
  • Conduct competitive research and synthesize content quickly
  • Ensure adherence to our UI guidelines and interface patterns, developing or extending on them where it makes sense, and with team collaboration.
  • Consider device responsiveness, screen resolutions, and environments in your designs.
  • Deliver clear and organized handoff documentation for engineers.
  • Foster relationships with the engineering team for seamless collaboration.
  • Effectively communicate ideas at various levels within the organization.
  • Manage your time towards your deliverables, clearly communicating and setting expectations along the way.
  • Demonstrate detail and dedication in your work artifacts creating high-quality deliverables in alignment with business and user goals and priorities.
  • Leverage established UX techniques and processes for your analysis and solutions.
  • Advocate for user needs while balancing business goals.
  • Ensure holistic and coherent solutions in collaboration with design peers.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in product design and user experience.
  • Degree or certification in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Information Architecture, or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Proficiency in information architecture such as knowledge of taxonomies, labeling, wayfinding systems, filter, and search experiences.
  • Ability to establish scalable systems within existing constraints.
  • Passion for design excellence and a structured design process.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in design software tools such as Figma or Axure.
  • Familiarity with design research methods.
  • Experience in an Agile environment and managing multiple projects.

Compensation & Benefits:

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry. Salary is just one part of our total compensation package that includes equity, perks & benefits, and development opportunities at Seesaw. Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity relative to other Seesawers. It is our expectation that the majority of candidates who are offered roles at Seesaw will land well within our salary ranges based on these factors.

The annual base salary range for this position is: $127,200.00 - $151,050.00
