Senior Product Operations Manager

Ghost is a private, b2b marketplace that helps scale distribution for the best brands in the world. In this role, you'll be the key connector among the Engineering, Product, Design (EPD), revenue, and leadership teams. You'll be a major supporter of our platform, encouraging its use within our team and increasing engagement and satisfaction among our customers. You'll also keep an eye out across departments to identify important product needs, driving improvements and innovation. Your tasks include improving our reporting by gathering common issues into clear reports for the EPD, helping make informed decisions for product development. Moreover, you're responsible for creating and sharing resources like training programs, videos, and guides to help both our team and our customers make the best use of our products and platforms.

This role will be based out of our headquarters in Los Angeles, California. 

About the Role: 

• Act as a Crucial Intermediary: Serve as a key liaison among Engineering, Product, Design (EPD), revenue, and leadership teams to identify and address bottlenecks in technology and organizational workflows, ensuring smooth operation and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Platform Advocacy: Champion the use and implementation of our platform internally to drive adoption and externally to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction.
• Insight Collection and Analysis: Gather insights from various departmental functions to highlight critical product needs, facilitating improvements and innovations.
• Support and Improve Reporting: Compile common support themes into comprehensive reports for EPD, enabling data-driven decision-making for product enhancement.
• Development of Enablement Materials: Create and distribute materials such as training programs, videos, and documentation, catering to both internal teams and external customers, to ensure effective use of our product and platforms.

About You: 

• 7+ years building scalable engineering solutions across the stack.
• Proven track record for designing and building core services and API’s for a variety of product use cases.
• Product experience in web frameworks like Node (NestJS, ExpressJS), and React.
• Strong understanding of fundamentals of relational data modeling and design
• Ability to lead major architecture initiatives from the ground up, balancing for speed while designing for scale
• Believer in automated testing, continuous integration, and high code quality.
• Interest and experience in coaching/mentoring junior engineers.
• Collaborative approach to building software with other engineering / non-engineering team members.
• Bonus: Marketplace experience, B2B experience.
• Bonus: Devops/CI/CD experience.

Our total compensation for this position can range from $140,000 - $180,000. The actual amounts may vary based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities related to the position.
