Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in management consulting, operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 5 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
  • 5 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.
Preferred qualifications:
  • MBA or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of building relationships, cross-functional executive stakeholder management and leadership through influence.
  • Ability to influence without authority, working on and with technical, sales and cross-functional or matrixed teams.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with emphasis on teamwork. Excellent communication skills with the ability to represent complex business concepts with executive leadership.
  • Excellent program management, problem-solving and investigative skills, combined with business decision-making and communication skills.

About the job

The Senior Program Manager will be a skilled individual joining our leadership team as Strategy Operations Lead for the GPS business operations organization to propel our U.S. public sector growth strategy. The GPS business is in the early stages of becoming a scaled operation that relies on People, Process, Programs and Partners to generate high sales productivity and meet our growth targets.

In this role, you will be guiding a day-to-day rhythm for an executive leadership team, managing Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and expertly coordinating Cross Functional owners of programs, enablement and analytics. You will work closely with executive business leadership in developing strategy, organizational structure and cadence, and analytics and frameworks to operate effectively at increasing scale and complexity.

You will serve as a thought-partner to the People and Business Operations Leader in driving strategy and execution of key operational areas that intersect with our technology and sales organizations, and will possess/develop an understanding of how to get things done at Google, has the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and build relationships with key stakeholders.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $208,000-$296,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Connect People and Business Operations leadership team and critical/tactical imperatives; drive tactical content and communications for Executive leadership-level review.
  • Partner with the Head of People and Business Operations, leadership team, direct reports, and cross-functional partners to set strategy with the organization.
  • Drive the cadence of business with key leaders, including communications and reporting, across all levels of the organization (e.g., reporting, OKRs, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), annual planning, cross-team comms and decision-making.
  • Develop and manage stakeholder partnerships focused on advancement of goals across People and Business Operations, GPS and with Commercial Cloud partners and manage a budget and headcount allocations.
  • Lead and execute special projects which may include research, analysis, and recommendations on a variety of business-related topics in partnership with relevant shared services functions to execute against plan.
