Senior QA Automation Engineer with Java

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with Java and open-minded personality, who can join our friendly environment and become a core contributor to our team of experts. Also, to match with this position, the candidate needs to have experience in Test Automation and Java, and willingness to quickly study our project technologies and approaches, experienced in technical and test documentation.

We are looking for candidates from Malaga or ready to relocate. Successful candidate should be ready to work from office.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans for major features
• Test Automation Framework support and enhancement
• Increasing test coverage, and supporting tests
• Support QA Gitlab CI pipeline with test execution, and test reports analysis
• Close work with devs and management to improve documentation
• Aid in an expansion of test automation by following existing patterns
• Work with different levels of testing - e2e, integration, component
• Read and understand developers' code

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in quality assurance
• Solid Java and JavaScript skills
• Experience in establishing and maintaining CI for testing (GitLab CI)
• Playwright/Cypress experience
• REST API testing experience
• Good manual testing skills
• Take ownership of testing on a project
• Able to create and propose test strategy for a project
• Dealing with ambiguity, not clear requirements
• Good communication skills (English - B2)
• Ability to ask good and right questions. Able to push back on changes and negotiate scope when needed to ensure product quality

• Open-mindedness
• Proactiveness
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies

Nice to have

• Scripting in PowerShell/bash/python/VBA
• Test frameworks layer knowledge
• UI testing frameworks like Selenide, JDI, or HTML elements
