As our Customer Support Organization continues to grow and expand globally, we are building a top-tier team within our Financial Crimes division to enhance and oversee risk operations. The Senior Financial Crime and Quality Assurance Risk Advisor will play a key role in this team, focusing not only on quality assurance but also on providing advisory support across various risk management functions, including BSA/AML compliance, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration
The Senior Financial Crime and Quality Assurance Risk Advisor will help enhance and optimize our quality assurance program to oversee the risk operations of our clients and offer advisory services on AML Compliance.Â

The Senior Financial Crime and Quality Assurance Risk Advisor will be expected to support and enhance the design and execution of testing and monitoring plans for review of our client’s risk operations. This individual will not only focus on quality assurance but also assist with various needs across the Financial Crimes team. Other key activities include audit management, analyzing data to identify process gaps and opportunities, recommending and implementing corrective actions, and partnering with Operations Leaders, Training, and other senior managers to recommend mitigating activities for risk, improve customer experience, team performance, and close process gaps.
The Impact You’ll Have
- Conduct tests and inspections of processes against policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements to evaluate quality or performance, ensuring alignment between QA metrics, regulatory expectations, and organizational priorities
- Ensure consistency in scoring and adoption of the QA framework
- Report performance and track areas of improvement on multiple levels, both internally and externally
- Perform trend analysis on evaluation data and provide feedback
- Develop and establish controls in collaboration with our Compliance/Legal Team and third-party partners
- Coordinate with other specialists to continuously improve and evolve the QA framework and scorecards, including the development of new QA functions
- Work closely with our internal and external support and compliance teams to ensure all policies are being followed and make recommendations for improvement
- Ensure adherence to governance, standards, and protocols by overseeing risk operations and compliance processes to align with internal frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Establish strong relationships across cross functional teams to foster a sense of inclusiveness and ensure alignment
- Clearly articulate challenges and recommendations to all levels of stakeholders
Who You Are
- Min. 4-5 years experience in a Compliance and/or Audit role, or similar experience in an oversight/compliance environment
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business, economics, communications, statistics, finance or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience working directly with or supporting Risk Ops teams within payments/banking or working directly with regulators in the US and either Canada, Asia Pacific UK/EU, and in particular customer regulators and banking regulators
- Demonstrated knowledge of BSA/AML, KYC regulations, Sanctions, Customer Due Diligence, risks and controls implementation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze trends, uncover opportunities, and make recommendations for improvement
- Great organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple, complex projects on time
- Experience in governance, standards, and protocols related to risk management and compliance, ensuring that processes and operations adhere to established frameworks and regulatory guidelines
- Ability to create a vision and translate it into detailed and prioritized plans, with ongoing action and tracking over various timeframes
- Desire to build and implement new processes that improve the experiences of our customers and increase efficiencies of our support operations teams
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams
- Curiosity, creativity, motivation, and capability of working on your own as well as part of a globally distributed team
- Positive outlook and supportive attitude, with a commitment to constructive feedback and coaching
