This position is in the IBM The Weather Company business (TWC) or a shared services function supporting TWC. On August 22 2023 a definitive agreement was signed under which Francisco Partners a leading global investment firm that specializes in partnering with technology businesses will acquire The Weather Company assets from IBM. It is currently expected that as of February 1 2024 this position will be in a new company that is separate from IBM. Through increased investment and resources from Francisco Partners The Weather Company will look to move beyond forecasting alone and bring new tools and experiences to users to help them understand how weather impacts all aspects of their lives starting with health and well-being. Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior SalesForce.Com Developer at IBM you will play a pivotal role in leading the development of comprehensive and complex ad business solutions. Your primary accountability lies in the technical design development and delivery of The Weather Company (TWCo) B2C and B2B SalesForce.Com (SFDC) native and custom applications. This includes the support and maintenance of the TWCo SFDC platform (custom) Ad business applications and the associated cloud infrastructure catering to TWCo’s B2C and B2B LOB Ad Sales Ad Ops Ad Revenue Ad Marketing Ad Product and Ad customer support users consumers and leadership communities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership:

   • Lead the development of comprehensive and complex ad business solutions on the SalesForce.Com platform.
   • Oversee technical design development and delivery of TWCo SFDC native and custom applications.

2. Platform Management:

   • Ensure continued availability and evolving use of the TWCo SFDC platform and (custom) Ad business applications.
   • Provide transparency governance and technical support across all engineering work streams related to ad revenue.

3. Solution Implementation:

   • Implement high-quality scalable solutions on the SalesForce.Com platform adhering to best practices.
   • Configure and code solutions implement complex integrations across TWCo and IBM systems using middleware tools.

4. Deployment and Testing:

   • Deploy solutions and code using automated deployment tools.
   • Ensure technical deliverables are fully tested delivered on time within budget and exceed customer expectations.

5. Process Improvement:

   • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the Dev Shop practices.
   • Mentor and support other DevShop developers/team members as needed.

6. Learning Curve and Expertise:

   • Acquire detailed knowledge of TWCo’s custom ad applications integrated IBM systems and B2C/B2B ad practices.
   • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the ad operations domain to provide effective support and solutions.

7. Long-Term Strategy:

   • Contribute to a long-term strategy for growing and retaining top talent within a small team of developers.
   • Serve as a permanent and indispensable resource in this critical ad operations role ensuring continuity and avoiding knowledge turnover risks.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

1. Technical Expertise:

   • Proven experience in technical solution design and architecture.
   • Proficiency in SFDC UI development.
   • Demonstrated ability in developing effective and efficient complex applications and systems utilizing technologies such as Lightning Apex Visualforce SOQL Force.com IDE Salesforce DX Web Services API etc.

2. Subject Matter Expertise:

   • Capability to develop and maintain subject matter expertise in (custom) application features capabilities and business rules.

3. Certifications:

   • Mandatory possession of the current Salesforce Developer Certification.

4. Salesforce.Com Platform Ownership:

   • Comprehensive understanding of the current out-of-the-box (OOB) frontend and backend architecture.
   • Proficiency in manipulating OOB/custom table structures.
   • Proven ability to develop high-quality UIs and execute advanced platform administration tasks (e.g. security posture instance management space management).

5. Support and Compliance:

   • Capability to provide tier 2 SFDC engineering support.
   • Proficiency in vulnerability management and adherence to compliance best practices.
   • Mandatory possession of the current Salesforce Administrator certification.

6. Sustainability Strategy Co-ownership:

   • Proven experience in (re)building legacy solutions for structural integrity runtime efficiencies and minimum processing errors.
   • Ability to develop within the tolerance of current security and privacy compliance laws and practices.
   • Conduct code reviews to address quality reusability and ease of maintenance.
   • Support gating and review sign-offs for solution design.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
A background in the ad industry and experience with Google Ad Manager is a definite plus.
