Summary of Position

Kronos Bio seeks an experienced scientist to join our Computational Biology group within R&D. Using your strong programming skills and best software development practices, you will manage, analyze, and visualize multi-omics data and workflows to infer relevant gene regulatory networks, and characterize their perturbations in tumors. You will also collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of scientists to advance multiple concurrent drug discovery programs with multi-dimensional molecular data analyses. Specific job responsibilities include, but not limited to, performing NGS and other complex data analysis, data integration across public and proprietary domains and applying cutting-edge technologies and analytic approaches to molecular mechanism of action studies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, evaluate, implement, and perform computational methods and reproducible workflows for ChIP-Seq, ATAC-Seq, RNA-Seq, and other data analysis
• Work closely with target program teams and contribute to the identification and validation of novel oncology targets leveraging public and proprietary datasets
• Contribute to the analysis of production scale projects
• Independently design and execute informatics analysis and software development
• Excellent verbal, visual and written communication and organization skills

Qualifications:

• MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline with 5+ years of hands-on experience.
• Must have experience with building and executing ChIP-Seq/ ATAC-Seq pipelines
• Excellent programming skills in Python and R
• Clear understanding of statistical analysis principles
• Training and experience in supervised machine learning techniques a plus
• Familiarity with public data resources like DepMap, CCLE, TCGA and others
• Facility with software development principles and version control (GitHub), Docker
• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Highly analytical mind, attention to detail, and organization skills are critical
• Collaborative and proactive attitude with excellent written and oral communication skills
