Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia's enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.
You will work in the next generation iSIM Secure Connect product, which is a remote embedded SIM (eSIM) and integrated SIM (iSIM) management software designed to help CSPs and enterprises deliver new 5G mobile and IoT services faster, and more efficiently and securely manage machine-to-machine (M2M) and consumer device subscriptions. The eSIM/iSIM Remote Provisioning (RSP) capability will enhance Nokia's E2E IoT solution.
iSIM Secure Connect would be running in Cloud Native architecture and can be in Software-as-a-Service or on-premises deployments. This is an exciting opportunity with a fun team that values trust and autonomy.
What you will learn and contribute to
As a Senior Software Developer, you will be part of an agile development team in charge of the design, specification, development, and testing of the iSIM Secure Connect product. The main purpose of this role and the key responsibilities are to design, develop, test, and execute the integration, operation, and deployment of solutions.
Are you passionate about solving problems?
As part of our Scrum team, you will:
- Act as eSIM SME (Subject Matter Expert)
- Be part of and join related Standard Body workgroups and contribute in those working groups
- Clearly understand and keep up-to-date to the international standards related to the iSIM Secure Connect product
- Prototype Proof of Concept to quickly validate features
- Work with the global iSIM team to make important technical decisions
- Act as the main representative of the product team in the GSMA security audit process, provide technical guidance and operation instructions for the security operations
- Interface with GSMA to submit and update product compliance documents
- Provide technical guidance to the customer care and service team to onboard new customers
- Be available to provide support to a global team and customers from different continents
- Be available to provide support for eSIM E2E testing & interoperability testing and trouble shooting on Real Live Mobile networks
In addition, you will contribute to the development of the product features:
- Design, develop and implement new product features
- Participate in requirements analysis, feature breakdown and estimates
- Provide input and recommendations to high level product architecture
- Analyze reported product defects and fix as required
- Develop and maintain design documents and Unit test cases
- Ensure performance, scalability, availability, and usability requirements delivered
- Apply standard, high quality design, development and testing processes
- Mentor junior team members for their work assignments
Your skills and experience
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g. CS, EE, Math) or equivalent experience required
- 10+ years of experience with demonstrated passion and achievement for technology in the areas described below
- 10+ years of experience in software development related to smartcards: SIM, iSIM, eSIM
- Familiar with SIM/eSIM/iSIM-related specifications from various standard bodies, such as GSMA, TCA, ETSI, 3GPP, and GlobalPlatform.
- Experienced with Standard Body workgroups & contributed in those working groups
- In-depth knowledge and experience with JavaCard applet development, LPA/IPA and Carrier Apps debugging and testing.
- Familiar with SIM/eSIM support for the latest 5G standards.
- Solid software development experience in one or more object-oriented programming languages
- Knowledge in Java, Cloud, Docker, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Database, Containerized Applications, Microservices, etc.
- Knowledge of Agile development process & DevOps practices
- Demonstrable skill in several programming languages: e.g. Java, C/C++, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Perl
- Experience with source control, load build, and testing tools e.g. git, Gitlab, gerrit, Jenkins
- Experience with cryptography: symmetric, asymmetric, PKI
- Experience with RDBMS (e.g:- Postgres)
- Experience with Cloud Concepts (AWS, XaaS etc, working on any Public Cloud is an advantage)
- Experience with remote SIM provisioning and over-the-air (OTA) programming for IoT devices (e.g:- M-BUS, MQTT-SN, LoRA)
- Strong customer focus
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal/team skills
- Experience using Linux and Windows
- Fluent in oral and written English.
