Senior Software Engineer (Java)

We are looking for a motivated Senior Software Engineer (Java) with extensive software lifecycle experience and excellent interpersonal skills. To succeed in this role, you must understand business requirements and produce technical solutions that meet them, self-manage your time and daily responsibilities and tasks, and communicate with others professionally and effectively.

Requirements

• MS/BS Computer Science (Physics, Mathematics, Engineering)
• 7+ years of experience with Java, PostgreSQL/Amazon Aurora/similar
• Proven knowledge of algorithms and complexity analysis
• Exposure to issue tracking and project management systems  (JIRA)
• Knowledge of VCS and associated tools (git, GitHub, BitBucket)
• Skills in Agile/SCRUM methodology
• Proficiency in working with relational databases
• ETL and data integration from multiple sources
• Competency in developing commercial, enterprise software

Nice to have

Experience with Amazon Aurora, AWS tools/services, Python, Wildfly/Wildfly Application Server, Ant, REST/RESTful Architecture, Continuous Integration

English level

Intermediate+

Responsibilities 

• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternative technologies and presenting them for architectural review
• Attend meetings
• Communicate with the customer on upcoming tasks and issues
• Develop new functionality and support existing ones according to the customer's requirements
