Senior Software Engineer, Search Platforms

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
• Experience developing solutions using C++ and SQL.
• Experience working with data processing paradigms, such as Extract, Transform, Load (ETL).
• Experience with data modeling techniques such as Entity Relationship.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, high performance, distributed systems.
• Experience in designing and implementing database management systems (DBMS).
• Experience in data analytics, warehousing, ETL development, or other Big Data applications (e.g. Apache Spark).
• Familiarity with popular machine learning frameworks and large-language models.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the data ingestion platform, used by our internal partners.
• Participate or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Lead the design and development of platform components, making sure requirements are met and technical excellence is built into the platform.
• Mentor and support team members on technical decisions and troubleshooting issues in their code.
• Work in a high paced environment with multiple partner stakeholders, ambiguity and engaging priorities.
