Senior Software Engineering Lead - Java Backend - Oracle

Primary Responsibilities:

• Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java and Python within and around the Trizetto Facets Framework; compliant with industry and security standards
• Cloud Integration: Develop and deploy applications on cloud platforms both on-prem and public, like K8S, GCP, or Azure
• UI or UX Exposure: Ability to develop and maintain UI or UX apps using Angular, React JS or Vue
• Code Management and CI or CD: Maintain code and Deploy using modern code management and CI or CD tools
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Architects, Quality engineers, and other stakeholders
• Debugging and Testing: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects; write and maintain unit and integration tests
• Performance Optimization: Enhance application performance, scalability, and reliability
• Documentation and code review: Create and maintain technical documentation for software design and development processes; perform peer code reviews
• Agile Practices: Participate in Agile or Scrum processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of experience in Java and Python development
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies
• Knowledge of UI/UX principles
• Familiarity with Git and version control
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
• Solid proficiency in Java programming language
• Proficiency in Oracle database or related RDMBS
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Proven solid problem-solving skills
• Proven excellent communication skills
• Proven team player with collaborative skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications in Java, Oracle, Kubernetes, or Azure
• Experience in Trizetto Facets; Claims, Membership, Provider modules
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Familiarity with public cloud - Azure, or Google Cloud
• Understanding of security principles and practices in cloud environments
