Job Description
POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for the design and development of learning solutions including classroom, virtual, videos, e-learning, job aids, assessments, surveys and other instructional support. Responsible for end-to-end project management from initial consultation and skill gap analysis to implementation, incorporating evaluative feedback for continuous improvement. Responsible for delivering leadership and soft skills solutions, both virtually and face to face.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Conducts training sessions, builds rapport with the audience and provides feedback in a respectful manner. Integrates learner feedback into performance.
- Utilizes multiple delivery channels for training facilitation such as in-person, virtual and distance learning options and displays an understanding of when it's appropriate to use each method.
- Analyzes requests and designs, develops, and implements training using accepted instructional design practices and adult learning knowledge. Incorporates feedback from learners, SMEs, and manager to improve the training. Reviews and updates the learning solutions as needed.
- Maintains expertise in current training methods and technologies.
- Assesses learners on their comprehension and participation; provides management feedback as needed.
- Provides coaching and feedback to line of business facilitators to improve their delivery of content.
- Works with team members and others in the organization on training related projects using a consultative approach.
- Continually evaluates training materials for effectiveness, appropriateness for job requirements and changing employee needs.
- Works with others to prepare for training programs: updating content, preparing materials, preparing training room, and scheduling courses.
- Utilizes our Learning Management Systems (LMS) for course administration to assign classes, monitor completion through reporting, mark attendance, and communicate with attendees.
- Works with others in HR to ensure reporting (feedback reports, quarterly reports, etc.) are completed in a timely manner and makes adjustments as needed.
- Works on special projects as assigned.
- Completes all compliance training as required.
- Understands and adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and requirements that apply to the position.
NON ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerforms all other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Three (3) to five (5) years of adult learner classroom training experience required.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of curriculum development and project management experience required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of training methods and learner preferences.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to both individuals and groups.
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles.
- Knowledge of technology for providing and creating various methods of training, such as Articulate 365, Camtasia or Captivate.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems preferred.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word. PowerPoint and Excel essential.
- Excellent organizational, facilitation, presentation and written and verbal communication skills required.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Master's Degree in Education, Instructional Design or related field preferred.
- DDI Certification preferred.
JOB LOCATIONIdeally located in downtown South Bend, but open to other locations within our footprint.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSAbility to travel as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
