SENIOR FIELD AND SERVICE ENGINEER

We are looking for a talented and proactive SENIOR FIELD AND SERVICE ENGINEER to support the rapidly growing customer base of our ambitious, fast-growing and transforming company. Based either in Boston, Denver or the option for remote you will be responsible for the delivery and support of both new and existing tracking system infrastructures across the globe. 

This role will require flexibility in working hours to support our ongoing projects in region as well as our existing global customer base. Our Field and Service Team must match this ethos by taking responsibility for constantly improving productivity and development of self and be able to excel in a fast-paced environment. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently and deliver them on time and under budget
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and partners across the region
  • Monitoring, maintenance and updating of existing tracking system infrastructure across region
  • Generate design, contractor scope of work and ‘as built’ documentation for each site and project
  • Through processes, preparation and testing, you will ensure tracking systems operate within outlined service level agreements
  • Quick resolution of issues via effective troubleshooting, correct escalation and follow-up
  • Training of internal and external stakeholders
  • Help validate and update internal processes and documentation 
  • Full end to end technical ownership of projects (pre-sales through to client handover)
  • Mentor and train other engineers throughout the company and seek to continually improve processes companywide
  • Ownership of product validations, regional QA and internal documentation upkeep
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • Have an engineering, IT, computer science, electronics degree or technical background and experience in a relevant field 
  • Proven project management experience. Onsite management of contractors and client expectations across multiple projects simultaneously
  • 5+ Years experience in an equivalent technical role
  • Strong hardware diagnostic and troubleshooting of electronic equipment
  • Strong IP network design, setup/configuration and implementation
  • Strong IT and software troubleshooting skills
  • Systems admin experience would be an advantage
  • Prior troubleshooting experience with PC based systems
  • Knowledge of tracking systems (GPS and LPS solutions)
  • Knowledge of Product Support processes
  • Experience in design document creation
  • Be able to travel up to 30% of the time throughout the AMERICAS region including on weekends
  • Experience with support ticketing platforms; Salesforce and Zendesk preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and see tasks through to completion
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with little day to day oversight
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High computer literacy and ability to learn new software
