Senior Staff Software Engineer - Automation (Python/TCP/IP/Networking)

Key Responsibilities include

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during design, development, and maintain cloud-based software solutions. 
• Working experience in testing L4-L7 technology, must be well versed in cloud firewall and/or tunneling technologies
• Build repeatable system level automation suites to validate L4-L7 technologies
• Focus on testing at scale, with ability to push the limits of software under test and proficient coding using Python to automate testing
• Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose customer issues and take ownership of issue resolution. Recreation of production issues, and providing necessary work around for resolution
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and take full ownership of features.
• Skilled to architect, design, develop and maintain a system test automation infrastructure for a cloud product processing 400B transaction per day. 
• Ability to understand the breath of the product and craft scenarios and simulate triggers mimicking deployment scenarios 
• Know how of tools like traffic generator and performance test tools, fuzz would be a plus 
• Ability to monitor the incoming and past customer issues and incorporate it a test plan 
• Continuously looks to optimize the regression cycle. 
• Ability to create and maintain a traceability matrix of test cases to feature offering 
• Provide insights and recommendations to the development team to enhance the RAS and debug feature of the product 

Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall experience
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Tools Development: Build and maintain tools and utilities to support the testing and development process, improving efficiency and productivity.
• Test Automation: Develop and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks for our cloud security products, covering various layers of the software stack.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP protocol stack, HTTP(S), TLS, PKI and other related protocols and products (DNS, DHCP, VPN, HA, routing and switching)
• Strong exposure to different tunneling methods like IPSEC/GRE
• Strong background in expertise on L3, L4 and L7 filtering policies
• Experience in Load balancers, IPS/IDS, Routers
• Good knowledge of Cloud platforms (ex: Azure, AWS), Networking, HTTP/HTTPS.
• Must have excellent understanding of manual and automated, functional, integration, and performance testing processes.F
• Strong Debugging/Troubleshooting skills to debug/handle complex Network Infrastructure/HTTP/SSL/Firewall problems in customer environments.
• Quality Assurance: Create, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases to identify issues, validate product functionality, and ensure product quality.
• Performance Testing: Design and implement performance and load testing strategies to evaluate the efficiency and scalability of our cloud security solutions.
• Scale Testing: Work on testing methodologies and tools to simulate and validate the performance and scale of our systems under different scenarios.
• BS/MS degree  (Engineering/Computer Science)
• Self-starter takes initiative & ownership, identifies and completes tasks; goal driven
• Ability to work with remote teams, handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Familiar with complete software development cycle
