Meet The Team:
Torc is looking for a Systems Engineer to join a team responsible for ensuring Torc’s products meet the highest safety and security standards while delivering superior business value. As a Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of defining what short-term and long-term success looks like for the engineering organization here at Torc. You will collaborate directly with a wide array of engineering, product, safety, and legal teams to design safety, performance, quality, and process performance indicators for product release readiness.Â
 What You’ll be doing: Â
- Quantitatively and qualitatively compare multiple operating environments to help refine the ODD (operational design domain)Â
- Identify data sources and initiate data collection efforts for assessing operating environmentsÂ
- Work at the highest levels of abstraction within the product to define design goals and their objectives or key performance indicatorsÂ
- Design safety-, performance-, quality-, and process-related quantitative performance indicators that demonstrate release readinessÂ
- Conduct literature reviews to ensure consistency with industry best practices and standardsÂ
- Monitor safety, performance and quality trends and work with relevant partners to identify corrective actions for performance improvementsÂ
- Monitor process-related performance and work with Engineering Quality to identify corrective actions for process improvementsÂ
- Collaborate with Engineering Managers, PMO (Program Management Office), and all relevant partners to ensure design, implementation, and programs are on track, and regularly drive consensus among diverse partners on technical projects. Â
What You’ll Need to Succeed:  Â
- Demonstrate competences and technical proficiencies acquired through:
- BS+ 6+ years of experience, MS+ 3+ years of experience, or PHD 1+ years of experience.
- 4+ years of experience in hardware, software, or systems engineering, robotics or related technical fieldsÂ
- A hyper sense of attention to detail with an iterative approach in completing enterprise goal  Â
- Experience with C/C++ or PythonÂ
- Familiarity with Cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)Â
- Ability to understand complex technical systemsÂ
- Ability to adapt and operate under ambiguityÂ
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)Â

Hiring Range for Job OpeningÂ
US Pay Range
$139,000—$166,800 USD
