Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing tax compliance and planning for a diverse portfolio of clients, including those in private equity and financial services. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of tax regulations, ensuring accurate financial statement preparation and adherence to all legal requirements.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to provide strategic advice on various tax matters, including private equity transactions and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) issues.
• Collaborate with clients to develop effective tax strategies that align with their financial goals.
• Assist in budgeting processes by providing insights on tax implications related to financial planning.
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll tax requirements.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) while maintaining accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect clients’ financial positions.
• Provide guidance on wills, trusts, estate law matters as they relate to taxation.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero; familiarity with other financial software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients and team members.
• Experience in financial sales or services is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $79,098.00 - $81,692.00 per year
