Join Aprio's (Insert Team) team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities. Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a (Title) to join their dynamic team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of responses to tax authority inquiries, notices, and audit requests. 
  • Conduct research on various tax issues and stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations. 
  • Analyze client financial records and documentation to support tax positions and dispute resolutions. 
  • Prepare and organize documentation for tax controversy cases, including audit defense files, appeals, and litigation support. 
  • Collaborate with senior team members to develop strategies for resolving tax disputes and achieving favorable outcomes for clients. 
  • Participate in client meetings and conference calls to discuss tax controversy matters and provide updates on case progress. 
  • Support the preparation of presentations and reports for clients and internal stakeholders. 
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all tax controversy activities and communications. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, JD, or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in tax compliance, audit, or controversy work, preferably in a public accounting firm or law firm.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in tax research tools and software, such as CCH, RIA, and Bloomberg Tax.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
