Senior UX Designer

Job Summary:

The Senior UX Designer is responsible for guiding, creating, and testing the design of applications, web sites, and other software using current design best practices as well as knowledge of user psychology to provide the best possible user experience. The Senior UX Designer is also responsible for leading the team that supports the software product teams with wireframes, design high-fidelity mock-ups, standard templates, and prototypes. The UX Designer will leverage market analysis, customer feedback, and usability findings to create user-centered designs.

Responsibilities:

• Works with Software development and marketing teams to implement UX Design best practices for web sites, applications, and other software.
• Leads the UX design team to create UI/UX consistency throughout the entire software ecosystem.
• Provides oversight and guidance for a cohesive look and feel and optimal user experience.
• Works within CMS systems to set up landing pages and create user experiences for marketing campaigns and other end-user endpoints.
• Creates wireframes, designs high-fidelity mock-ups, standard templates, and prototypes for the feature teams to use within their applications.
• Participates in Agile cycles to manage the UX design capacity needed during sprints and program increments to accomplish the business objectives of those iterations.
• Uses recent studies, analytics, and findings to establish the best overall design elements to include in UX design.
• Conducts testing of sample applications, websites, and software to assess user experience and ease of design.
• Understands product specifications and user psychology and predicts what might work best for both.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proficient in design and web development platforms such as Figma, Adobe Creating Cloud, CMS, and others.
• Experience creating storyboards and web site mapping.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team.
• 5-7 years demonstrated experience with site branding and design and graphic design.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field such as graphic design OR certification specific to UX Design.
• Continued education and research into UX trends and current design strategy and technologies.
• Professional written and interpersonal skills when communicating with users and business management.
