Whether it’s our personalized daily vitamin packs and powders through our direct-to-consumer business, or our multivitamins and blends with our retail partner Target, our products are backed by science and include a combination of highly-researched nutrients and traditionally used herbs. What you'll do:

As SEO Specialist, you’ll play point-guard on a talented team of writers, medical experts, software engineers, and designers, all working together to make Care/of’s blog a world-class destination for health and wellness advice. To make that happen we need an ambitious and versatile SEO Specialist, who’s excited by the prospect of 10x-ing organic acquisition with every lever they can pull: from overseeing high-volumes of optimized content, to improving on page conversion, helping marketers with outbound link building, and more. This role will report into the Senior Growth Product Manager.

You will be responsible for: 

Overseeing content production and performance:

  • Outlining SEO guidelines for writers, which will allow them to balance polished prose with SEO best practices
  • Keep an eye on how our new content is ranking, as well as the rank positions of our existing blog content

SEO conversion rate optimization: 

  • Turn our blog into an organic conversion machine, by continually improving the on-page experience to better turn readers into customers
  • Monitor our organic conversion rate, and report on progress to stakeholders 

Technical SEO:

  • Monitor our website’s SEO site health
  • Assist with solving our current technical SEO debt, and solving any new issues that pop up
  • Collaborate with engineers on technical SEO fixes. Clearly spec out the requirements, and paint a picture of the benefits
  • Track and report impact of our technical SEO improvements

SEO Backlinking:

  • Work with our email marketing team on backlink building efforts, with the aim of increasing our site’s domain authority
  • Report out on progress and impact of our backlink building efforts. Domain authority is an abstract concept, it’s your job to make it concrete and exciting for stakeholders
Where you’ll be:

We are encouraging employees (whose job responsibilities allow) to work remotely with the option of returning to our NoHo (Manhattan) office. We are committed to prioritizing workspace flexibility by building systems to create an inclusive and productive environment in which employees feel most comfortable working (role permitting). 

This is a remote role. You will be expected to visit our NYC office 2-3 times a year, with travel expenses covered by the company if you are outside the NYC metro-area. 

Who you are:
  • You have 2-4 years of experience in SEO, with a focus on SEO content creation and on-page SEO
  • You understand how to see the forest for the trees, and provide stakeholders with clear, jargon-free progress reports
  • You are a constant learner, with your finger on the pulse of how the SEO landscape is changing
  • You are an agile and strong cross-collaborator who’s able to adapt and adjust to different audiences across the organization
  • You balance an analytical mindset with creative problem solving.You feel equally comfortable presenting in front of a team of engineers as a team of copywriters
  • You have a deep understanding of web analytics tools
  • You’ve built your own SEO toolkit; we don’t care about the specific tools, but rather that you can use them in the right combination to problem solve
  • You are able to interpret and tell a story with data, and make recommendations based on your findings
  • You are a self-starter, and able to take initiative on projects

Extra carrots 🥕(preferred, but not required): 

  • You have been in a SEO, growth or digital marketing role at a fast paced health or wellness company 
  • You have in-house SEO experience leading high-volume content production efforts (think 100+ articles a month), with demonstrable results
