POSITION SUMMARY:
In charge of corrective and preventive maintenance of SMT lines / machines, contribute to the improvement of maintenance procedures, routines, reduce machines down times due to Maintenance, effective use of tools and maintenance spare parts and resources. Work on improving Maintenance metrics and costs.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, related engineering field).
  2. 5 years' experience in industrial equipment Maintenance.
  3. Solder pastes printing and solder reflow processes.
  4. Knowledge of Universal SMT Equipment, DEK, Reflow Ovens, SPI machines.
  5. Use of Electrical and Electronics Measurement Equipment
  6. Interpretation of schematic diagrams.
  7. Basic knowledge and diagnosis of electronic module / cards.
  8. Troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics troubleshooting.
  9. Use of Kaizen, A3´s, Team Building, methodologies for problem analysis and solving.
  10. Proven record of solving complex maintenance problems.
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication.
  12. Analytical process for problems troubleshooting and corrections.

PREFERRED SKILLS EXPEREINCE
  1. Minimum 5 years´ experience in SMT operations, processes, maintenance.
  2. Experience in SMT lines maintenance.
  3. FUJI placement machines.
  4. GSM´s and GC´s Universal placement machines.

DUTIES:
  • Support to SMT Production Lines
  • Oversees and audits corrective and preventive actions using the established methodologies and procedures.
  • Analyzes all maintenance metrics performance, root causes and corrective actions, applies problem solving methodologies, plans for future improvements in maintenance and production metrics.
  • Works with Maintenance Manager to improve all maintenance KPI´s.
  • Regular checks for improvements on TPM procedures and reports.
  • Works with Industrial Engineering and production on reducing line changeovers time.
  • Leads teams' meetings, C.I., Kaizen projects, assists other departments with C.I.
  • Assists Mafact Focus Factory meetings to get feedback on maintenance performance, updates board metrics if needed, comes with solutions to problems always with a goal of applying preventative actions / measures.
  • Follows up on purchase requisitions of spare parts.
  • Assists Maintenance Supervisor on audits of spare parts inventory accuracy, makes sure spare parts required available to meet future PM schedules.
  • Follows up Execution of Preventive and Corrective Maintenance Programs.
  • Solve chronic problems in SMT lines when supervision needs help or added expertise, and machines related issues to equipment and/or tooling design.
  • Audits closing of TPM red tickets.
  • Monitor production performance related to equipment maintenance and upkeeping assisting Production and Quality achieve metrics targets.
  • Work with launch Engineers on New Products tooling, equipment, new machines approvals at design level and prior to SOP.
  • Generates procedures improvements / changes to processes, maintenance improvements.
  • Participate in the employee´s suggestions program.
  • Participate on Kaizen / C.I. Teams.
  • Comply to Mafact procedures.
  • Covers Maintenance Manager when absent or vacations.
  • Actively participate in the meetings and activities of Safety and Occupational Health.
  • Comply with all safety rules and procedures on their work activities.
  • Support EHS Specialist when developing new or improved safety guarding on machines.
  • If needed, participate on accidents investigations or near miss incidents.
  • Promptly handle the complaints of its employees related to Occupational Safety and Health, through effective investigations and documenting the findings.
  • Know, comply with and ensure compliance with the regulations, standards and guides for Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Contribute to the objectives and goals of the safety and environmental management system.
  • Comply with LPA´s schedules.
  • Work towards meeting Financial Objectives for the Department and Plant targets.
  • Performs other duties in support of business objectives.
