Summary
The mission of the National Counterintelligence & Security Center is to lead and support the U.S. Government's counterintelligence (CI) and security activities critical to protecting our nation; provide CI outreach to U.S. private sector entities at risk of foreign intelligence penetration; and issue public warnings regarding intelligence threats to the U.S.

Conditions of Employment
- Must be a U.S. Citizen residing in the United States
- Appointment is subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on an SBI with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI)
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- A two-year trial period is required for all new permanent appointments to the ODNI.

Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to negotiate, establish IC-wide teams, and effectively
and independently manage in a team or collaborative environment.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, both oral and in written, complex information in a clear, concise manner that is targeted to
and meets the needs of diverse audiences with different perspectives and objectives.
Extensive ability to research and draft assessments, and perform technical edits to self-generated products without significant
supervision.
Demonstrated ability to communicate with Federal partners, both verbally and in writing, to include conveying complex information
in a clear, concise manner that is targeted to meet the needs of diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to listen to, clarify, and convey understanding of others' ideas, comments, and questions as well as to integrate
and build upon diverse opinions in a manner that encourages the formation of integrated solutions and positions.
Demonstrated ability to showcase initiative and offer recommendations as it pertains to improving internal workflows, products, and
business processes.
Bachelor's Degree or related experience as it pertains to this posit
Desired Requirements:
Demonstrated knowledge or working-level experience with personnel vetting actions, such as but not limited to, investigations; adjudications; and
related Intelligence Community and Executive Branch personnel security policies and reform initiatives.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Excel, Adobe; and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated experience assessing program accomplishments, best practices, or deficiencies and making recommendations for
improvement.
Education
Bachelor's Degree.

Job Interview Travel: Candidates from outside the Washington, D.C., area may be selected for a telephone, teleconference, or in-person interview.
Salary Determination:
The ODNI uses a rank-in-person system in which rank is attached to GS employees on the basis of individual qualifications, experience, and performance.
Individuals whose current GS grade is equivalent to the grade of the advertised position will retain their current grade and step.
Individuals who transfer to the ODNI from a non-GS pay scale will have base pay converted to the appropriate GS grade and step as determined by the Director/ Human Resource Management.
On occasional instances when a current federal civilian employee applies for an ODNI position that is a lower grade than his or her personal grade, the candidate's personal grade will be downgraded to the grade of the advertised ODNI position and pay will be set at the step that is closest to but not less than the employee's current annual base rate of pay, not to exceed the maximum rate (i.e., step 10) of the GS grade to which assigned.
Relocation Expenses: For new ODNI employees, reimbursement for relocation is discretionary based on availability of funds.
