About the Role:

Dr. Squatch has a booming social presence and we need a Social Media Associate who can create content and engage with our Dr. Squatch fans on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for creating entertaining content with the technical writing, video shooting and editing skills to produce them. Additionally, the candidate should be well versed in social media content as both a user and a creator.

This role will report to the Social Media Manager.

This is a full-time, hybrid role with company benefits based in Marina del Rey, CA. The onsite requirement/expectation is 1-2 days per week at our Squatch HQ.

The anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $65,000 to $70,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local market rates.

What You'll Do:

  • Create fun and engaging content for our organic social channels: TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Content includes videos, tweets, and meme images.
  • Create educational content for company products and our giveback program.
  • Create promotional content for Dr. Squatch products, sales, and partnerships.
  • Research current memes and trends to produce topical content for social.
  • Regularly engage with our followers and UGC with the Dr. Squatch brand voice to connect with our community.
  • Collaborate with the Social Content Team.
  • Analyze performance on a weekly basis and provide recommendations based on data.
  • Assist the Social Media Manager with other duties as needed.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Video production preferred.
  • Strong editing skillset in Premiere Pro, TikTok, Photoshop, and CapCut.
  • Someone who is up to date with social trends, memes, pop culture.
  • Someone who is comfortable performing on camera and has an electric on-camera personality.
  • Experienced with creating content for social media platforms, including (but not limited to) TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Excellent filming/video editing skills and audio editing experience.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Possess a passion for visual storytelling and a desire to learn more.
  • Someone who is energetic, witty, and willing to take creative risks.
  • Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or eCommerce industries.
  • Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly preferred
  • Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is innovative and works with a sense of urgency.
  • Someone who has high standards takes ownership and is invested in the outcome.
  • Someone who proactively helps others stays positive and has a good sense of humor.
