Software Developer

Description

LEIDOS seeks a software developer for work in a dynamic environment supporting operations, data analysis, and data visualization tools. The candidate will work closely with the customer and product users to solve complex data-driven problems throughout the entire software development lifecycle of both existing and new applications. The ideal candidate has the capacity to work both front and back-end portions of a software environment. The candidate will participate in software requirements elicitation, design and development, troubleshooting, system backup/restore, and software enhancements. The candidate is expected to analyze and solve complex use case problems and adhere to well established software design and development principles. A strong candidate will be a self-starter and energized by the capability to learn and implement

new skills across both software engineering and user domains. This position is located in Chantilly, VA, requires an active TS/SCI, and a willingness to

undergo a polygraph in order to be considered. Candidates who do not currently possess an active TS/SCI will not be considered.

Mandatory

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

- 4+ years of relevant experience

- Demonstrated experience in an object-oriented language such as Java, C#/.NET

- Demonstrated experience in Python

- Demonstrated experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React.js/Node.js/Next.js)

- Experience working with relational (e.g., MySQL) and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB) databases

- Experience with Windows and Linux operating system environments

- Experience with code repositories, such as Subversion and Git

- Experience with UI/UX design and best practices, able to translate requirements into a clean and functional interface

- Experience developing software for large sets of Geospatial data

- Troubleshoot and problem solve both technical and non-technical issues

- Able to research and adapt to unfamiliar technologies

- Current/Active TS/SCI security clearance

Additional Desired Skills

- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., IaaS)

- Understanding of various data formats, such as CSV, JSON, XML, etc.

- Experience with ETL processes

- Experience handling big data sets

- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes)

- Experience with ActiveMQ

Pay Range:

Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
