Position Overview

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Platform Services and Emerging Technology Developer Enablement (DevRel) group. The DevRel organization's mission is to empower developers with the tools and support they need to build high-quality applications that meet Autodesk's standards. This includes enabling developers to create, test, and deploy software applications using Autodesk developer tools such as CloudOS and Beacon.

The DevRel team fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing to build a community of empowered developers. In this role, you will represent developer needs within the APAC/EMEA regions by providing technical support, building and maintaining developer enablement solutions, and collaborating with partner platform teams to ensure the platform meets developers' needs. This role is based in India, and you will report to a Senior Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

• Standardize service deployment configurations and processes for application teams
• Accelerate deployment timelines for application teams
• Facilitate onboarding of application teams to internal developer platforms
• Provide technical support to developers using platform services
• Assist developers in building and deploying their applications
• Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with development teams to resolve problems
• Ensure platform services meet development teams' needs by actively engaging with them
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and training materials for platform services
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends

Minimum Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience managing resources within cloud computing platforms such as AWS
• 5-7 years of experience automating software development lifecycles using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CloudBees, or Spinnaker
• 5-7 years of experience with infrastructure provisioning and automation tools like Terraform
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with development, build, and deployment processes for workloads, including serverless, container-based, and enterprise applications
• Experience implementing observability practices and tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Dynatrace, or NewRelic
• Proven ability to create technical documentation, such as runbooks and engineering resources
• Strong communication, coordination, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Active participation in open-source software and communities
• Passion for public speaking at conferences and developer events
• Relevant certifications, such as:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
