Job Description Summary:

The Software Engineer 1 for the Technology Productivity team is responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality, high-performing, and secure tools used by Technology teams in the Office of the Chief Information Officer of PayPal. The team supports over 20 tools that include browser based User Interfaces as well as reporting dashboard tools written in a variety of programming languages and working with data stored in a variety of database technologies. The Software Engineer 1 will collaborate with product owners, engineers, and project management staff in geographically dispersed locations around the world requiring flexibility in work schedules.
• Implement shared components and frameworks using Java in a Linux/Solaris based environment.
• Implement shared components and frameworks using .NET in a Windows based environment.
• Develop user interfaces for customer-facing and internal web applications using a variety of frameworks.
• Work in an agile environment interacting with architects, cross functional engineering teams, Product Management, QA, and other product development teams to ensure we develop the correct product for the job at hand.
• Enhance and maintain existing product capabilities.
• Play an active role in providing feedback on new processes through design and code reviews.
