Software Engineer

We are building an AI system that can accurately represent knowledge and handle uncertainty, to enable the discovery of insights and solve problems based on explainable reasoning. We envision applications to automate analysis and speed up research in domains such as Finance, Strategy Consulting, Engineering, Material Sciences, and more.

We are continuously looking for strong software engineers who are up for a challenge and a steep learning curve. You’ll be exposed to cutting edge research in Bayesian statistics, dynamical systems, information theory, category theory, and more. 

For this job opening we are seeking strong software engineers to contribute to the development across our internal systems and core application.

Required experience

• Production grade backend software engineering
• Functional or typed programming
• Core language is Julia, however we also like engineers with experience in Rust, OCaml, Clojure, C++, Haskell
• Larger scale software applications
• Implementing features end-to-end with customer in mind

Responsibilities

• Design new software features based on requirements
• Collaborate effectively with other engineers and researchers
• Implement clean, resilient and performant code
• Write comprehensive tests
• Write design documents for more complex problems
