Software Engineer

We are a scale-up company - meaning you will be joining a growing commercial team of skilled and smart people who love solving complex problems.

We are looking for an experienced software engineer with a good understanding of optimization principles and algorithms. They should be primarily familiar with low level languages such as C, C++ or Rust. Our stack is based on Rust, Python and VueJs.

The responsibilities of this position will include understanding optimisation algorithms, developing new features and performing experiments and testing that enhance interpretability of the developed solutions in real-world scenarios.

As a member of the company's AI department, you will collaborate with machine learning engineers to process large datasets, apply statistical models, and utilise optimisation techniques to come to the optimal solution.

Our products are used by shipping company engineers and captains to optimize the technical operations and navigation of their vessels to minimize CO2 emissions and fuel cost based on our in-house developed AI and optimisation algorithms. You will need to gain a deep understanding of the domain and our research output to design improvements that cover our customers’ needs.

- BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering

- Experience in one or more of the following: Rust, Python, Functional programming

- At least 2 years of experience with production level code

- Good communication skills.

- Good understanding of Combinatorial Optimisation with emphasis on graph methods and shortest path problems.

-Experience with front end development or interest to learn.

-Experience with geoserver
