Software Engineer II, BigQuery, Universal Catalog

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms
• 1 year of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent
• Experience programming and developing applications in Kotlin

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Kotlin, Java, Python, GO, or C++
• Experience or exposure with System Design
• Experience with Cloud Computing

Deliver a scalable platform to onboard the metadata from BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and beyond. The stream aligned team is responsible for the customer-facing aspect of the metadata platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and launch new products, features, and components with high product excellence, technical quality, and at high velocity.
• Participate in monitoring and debugging efforts, supporting frequent releases.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
