As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Workforce Technology Team, specifically the Employee Platforms Team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job responsibilities

  • Maintain business processes (e.g. configuration documents, JIRA practices, SR tracking, etc.)
  • Ability to consult and Sustain HCM Talent Management, Core HR, ORC
  • Oracle OTBI and HDL/HSDL experience is desired
  • Provide clear and concise communication and respond in a timely manner
  • Ensure security and release process are followed, reduce risk
  • Protect and ensure data privacy and regulations are maintained
  • Actively apply lessons learned and acquired knowledge to limit PROD defects and collaborate with Oracle on Service Requests, Customer connect, etc
  • Review Oracle release notes in advance and conducts impact analysis
  • Meet design deliverables and deadlines, consistent follow through and working independently (self-starter)
  • Complete functional testing of the enhancements (reducing / minimizing defects)
  • Have the ability to quickly problem solve and get to root cause

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 1+ years applied experience
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Passionate about building an innovative culture
  • At least 2 year of experience in Oracle Talent Management

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Exposure to Oracle HCM
  • Btech background preferred
