Software Engineer II, YouTube Analytics

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms
• 1 year of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence or related technical field
• Experience in software development in one of the following: C++, Java, TypeScript, SQL
• Experience using CI/CD tools and building test
• Experience with building user facing products

YouTube Analytics is a critical tool for YouTube Creators that shows them how their story resonates across YouTube viewers. As such our mission is to be Creator's trusted advisor and we aim to create a modern, appealing and simple analytics experience across multiple UI (e.g., YouTube Studio Mobile and Web, YouTube Main app Mobile and Web) and external APIs.

• Be passionate about building customer-centered products.
• Write reliable front-end, back-end code, and build data pipelines.
• Partner cross-functionally to help design the product and think about reliability, latency, usage and on-call.
