Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.

  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an
    academic or industry setting.
  • Experience coding in one or more of the following programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Java, Python, Go).

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging.

The Pixel Biometrics team provides seamless biometric authentication for the Pixel lineup of devices. We have delivered NIR (Near-infrared) face authentication and developed the world's most secure RGB face authentication using commodity hardware. We work on the cutting edge of ML, data science and engineering to provide users with secure, privacy-preserving and useful AI features.

Responsibilities

  • Develop large scale data ingestion and processing pipelines.
  • Build systems to fine-tune, evaluate, and visualize the performance of ML systems.
  • Handle releasing face authentication model drops for in-market and unreleased Pixel devices.
  • Expand existing authentication infrastructure stack to support other devices and ML teams.
