THE POSITION
The Software Integrator in Instrumentation and Driver HMI will be responsible for the design and development of embedded software for Automotive Instrumentation and Driver HMI, Heads-Up Display, Cockpit HPC and Cabin Sensing products. Will create new software or review existing modules and software systems, supporting new technology or improving the performance of existing implementation, and integrating software modules.
Core Responsibilities:• Requirements elicitation and negotiation with the OEM. Creation, analysis and maintenance of software requirements using the tool like DOORS.• Development and maintenance of architecture and detailed software designs.• Integration of all software modules and making software releases.• Supports SW Project Management activities.• Creation of software modules using C/C++, testing of software at component and integration test levels, as directed by the software project manager or product owner.• Debug and problem solving for issues identified at all stages of product development.• Support and participation in object reviews through all development stages.
Additional Responsibilities:• Supports problem solving between hardware and software• Is involved in creating and maintaining the software system design, especially for interactions between software and other disciplines• Works with SW Quality Assurance to ensure that Continental standard SW development processes are being followed• Informs the SW Project Manage if there are deviations from the planned activities• Coaches other engineers during design and Code/object review

Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.• 2+ years of relevant work experience• C/C++ (required). C#, Perl, or any other programming language(s) like Java/Kotlin a plus.• Basic knowledge of microcontrollers, embedded systems and electric circuits.• Hands-on experience in communication tools such as Vector CANoe, and software debugging tools.• Experience in Agile development environment.• Willing to travel (< 10% of the time) to support knowledge transfer and global projects.• Good communication, team and presentation skills and be willing to work in distributed global team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:• Previous professional experience in Automotive Embedded SW Development (4+ years)• Advanced knowledge of Software Engineering Processes, experience in Software Requirement Management.• Demonstrated capability to offer peer technical assessments in areas of expertise, new technologies and software designs• Automotive RTOS knowledge, Linux, embedded HMI frameworks (Altia, EB Guide, Kanzi etc.), in-vehicle communication networks like Ethernet, CAN, LIN, and LVDS,
