About the Role
As a Sourcing Specialist for APAC recruiting at Abnormal Security, you will play a key role in identifying, engaging, and attracting high-caliber candidates for our R&D teams. This role is a fixed-term contract (12 months) with the possibility of extension/conversion pending business need when we get closer to the 1-year mark. This role requires a proactive approach to sourcing candidates for a variety of critical engineering and technical positions, along with a deep understanding of the Indian talent landscape.

- Sourcing & Pipeline Development:
Proactively source and engage candidates for diverse R&D roles in areas like software development, data science, security engineering, and machine learning. - Collaboration with Recruiters & Hiring Managers:

Work closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, develop detailed candidate personas, and provide insights into the talent market.
Engage in initial outreach to candidates, assess their fit for specific roles, and present top candidates to hiring teams.
Maintain an organized candidate pipeline and report on sourcing activities using our ATS and other recruitment platforms.
Conduct in-depth market research to identify and assess potential talent pools across India. Leverage multiple platforms such as LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and academic networks.
Build relationships with passive candidates, nurturing long-term talent pipelines for critical roles while presenting compelling opportunities at Abnormal Security.
Contribute to Abnormal Securityβs employer branding initiatives by showcasing our culture of innovation, inclusion, and growth through various digital channels.
Must Haves
- 3+ years of experience in talent sourcing, with a focus on recruiting for R&D, technical, or engineering roles.
- A strong understanding of the technical landscape, including software engineering, machine learning, cybersecurity, and other relevant domains. Familiarity with the R&D space is a big plus.
Proficient in Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and other advanced sourcing tools. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage candidates and internal stakeholders.
Strong ability to establish rapport and build lasting relationships with candidates and colleagues. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment, and able to adjust sourcing strategies as business needs change.
