Summary:

Lincoln Electric is seeking a Sourcing Specialist, supporting critical supply chain functions for our printed circuit board business. This role will assume full responsibility for the procurement of specifically assigned commodities.

Summary:

  • Interface closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Marketing and Finance to identify parts that are candidates for best sourcing.
  • In conjunction with commodity strategies, identify, evaluate, and develop qualified suppliers.
  • Achieve performance objectives of Business Plan.
  • Report key measurements and take corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure quality, delivery and total cost objectives are met.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluation of internal process costs versus external.

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Management/Purchasing/Engineering or related degree.MBA, CPM, CPIM certification a plus.
  • 5 to 10+years procurement/materials/engineering experience in manufacturing environment particularly regarding PCB electronic components.
  • Experience in dealing with suppliers, e xcellent negotiation skills (understands cost drivers).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
  • Proven project management experience, with abiity to help l ead and drive initiatives.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Proficient in office software, understanding of SAP (or similar ERP system).
  • International purchasing experience a plus.
