Job Description
Summary:
The Defense Specialist – Repurchase, manages all missing documentation requests, MI Denial of Claims, loan quality defects, stacks and delivers all file requests to investors and agencies as requested. This position will conduct target audits for the company. In addition, this position will partner with the proper investor to defend the company against the allocations cited by the investor. This involves full collaboration with the channels, investors and management.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the delivery of necessary and required documentation to investors and MI companies, ensuring proper format and sequence, while also organizing and submitting any additional documentation received.

Obtain loan documentation from EDMS for all file requests; download required reports from Webfocus as required.

Input all file requests, MI Denial of Claims, and missing documentation requests in the Agency Repurchase Management System (ARMS) by completing all required fields and obtaining loan information from Lakewood and Sagent as needed; and any additional data input as required by Management.

Direct collaboration with investors and MI Agencies to resolve missing documentation requests, MI Denial of Claims and loan quality defects.

Maintain clear and effective communication with Channel on any issues that arise that cannot be resolved.

Support team reviewing EPD and EPO Requests from investors,

Work on special projects and other duties as assigned by management.

Demonstrate ability to recognize income and asset documentation and have a clear understanding of how they were calculated during the loan qualification process.

Must be able to perform special target audits, as directed by management.Â

Ability to multitask and be extremely flexible in the workday activities.

Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Experience must include, but not limited to, extensive knowledge in Mortgage Loan Processing.

Ability to calculate income, verify assets, analyze credit reports and ability to review and understand AUS findings.

Must have a working knowledge of Allregs.

Ability to research and interpret regulations, and independently respond to investors and other outside agencies.

Ability to interpret contacts and understand terminology.
-
Must be proficient in Word/Excel.

This person also must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and work with direct management

Ability to work in a team environment, recognizes and acts on changing priorities.

Must work in an organized, independent, efficient, professional process is a must.
Education and/or Experience:
-
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
-
Minimum of 3-5 years of related and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with mortgage lending practices and documentation.

Prior experience in Mortgage Originations industry required.
