Your role
We are looking for a Specialist in Integrated Communications to own the tactical execution of select communications strategies and initiatives for Genworth, with a strong focus on the Company's U.S. Life Insurance business, specifically the Operations team. This person will support a range of internal and external clients and audiences-including associates, media, distributors and the general public-and leverage a range of communications mediums, including email, SharePoint-based intranet, webcasts, and social media.

This Specialist in Integrated Communications will report directly to the Senior Communications Manager and be a proactive partner to the entire Integrated Communications team in executing effective internal and external communications strategies. To succeed in this integral role, this communications professional will also build and maintain relationships with internal clients to best understand their interests and needs and partner with them to create effective communications. The ideal candidate is a creative mind, self-starter, quick worker, and team player, comfortable with handling multiple clients and projects on varying timelines.

Your responsibilities• Support the development and execution of communications strategies and their corresponding campaigns and initiatives, focused on Genworth's U.S. Life Insurance business, specifically the Operations team.• Support ongoing development of SharePoint-based intranet platform and content.• Collaborate with internal clients and subject matter experts to implement communications strategies.• Write/edit copy, proofread and revise communications.• Contribute to development and maintenance of various key message documents. • Assist in content creation including internal emails, bylines, social media posts and other communications artifacts.• Craft and/or disseminate internal communications content, social media content, , and media pitches.• Analyze media coverage and industry trends to assist in the development of story/pitch ideas.• Develop internal newsletters and other internal communication delivery mechanisms.• Assist with employee meetings - in-person and virtual - sending meeting invites, managing RSVPs, crafting agendas and managing questions. • Partner with other members of the Integrated Communications team to manage message flow, ongoing rhythms, and other discreet cross-topic communications projects • Other duties as assigned

What you bring• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, English, Communications or Marketing and/or 2+ years of experience in Corporate Communications, or similar role • 2+ years of experience in Corporate Communications, or similar role • Exceptional business writing skills, including experience in copywriting, proofreading and editing • Excellent digital communications skills, including Office365 (especially Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and basic graphic design (Canva, Adobe Suite)• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills• Strong command of internal/external communications practices • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines • Ability to advise on optimal communications tactics based on specific objectives and content • Hands-on individual who can efficiently and effectively implement a communications strategy in a complex matrix team environment • Ability to travel to other Genworth offices approximately once per month as well as occasional travel to other US destinations for specific meeting purposes
