- Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals and adjustments.
- Prepare and review reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Conduct detailed financial statement analysis, including identification of trends and resolutions of issues.
- Oversee and manage intercompany balances, ensuring that intercompany agreements are accurately recorded and maintained.
- Prepare fluctuation analyses and perform financial statement analytics, providing clear and relevant explanations for variances to senior management.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls in line with SOX requirements.
- Implement, document and maintain effective processes to improve the close cycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly SEC reporting, including the preparation of financial statements, 10-Q and 10-K filings, and various footnote disclosures.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with AP, FP&A, and other business units to establish best practices and drive continuous process improvement for more efficient GL accounting and reporting.
- Drive complex accounting projects and initiatives, partnering with other members of the accounting and finance team as well as other departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to articulate financial fluctuations and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to proactively identify areas for process improvement and successfully implement solutions, and demonstrate the capacity to be a self-starter.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external partners.
- BA/BS in Economics, Business, or a related field; emphasis in Accounting preferred.
- CPA license.
- Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience.
- Background in public accounting audit and assurance or similar industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP.Â
- Proficient in accounting software including Netsuite, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace applications, particularly Google Sheets.
