The Senior Director of Total Rewards plays a strategic role in delivering Recursion’s Talent Strategy, ensuring we have the Right Talent and Intentional Culture that will enable us to achieve our ambitious mission. The ideal candidate will be a proactive partner to leaders across the company, bringing a deep understanding of equitable compensation programs with an ability to navigate the nuance and complexity required for an evolving talent pool. As a trusted advisor, this person will help build the next phase of our compensation strategy, blending the unique needs of a company that is forging the path of the emerging TechBio industry. You will also help lead and mentor our amazing team of People Business Partners, Generalists and Operations Associates.Â
In this role you will:
- Lead the Total Rewards function to ensure programs such as broad-based compensation, equity, bonus programs, recognition, health, and wellness benefits are aligned with Recursion’s values and support a high performing organization. Projects include shaping job leveling, fostering diversity, and integrating technology solutions for continuous improvement
- Partner with People Business Partners and senior leaders to evolve our structure for job leveling and career growth
- Accelerate Recursion's efforts and ambition to build a diverse workforce that experiences an equitable and inclusive environment and reward programs
- Educate our leaders and employees to have greater awareness and understanding of all compensation and benefits programs
- Build an integrated technology solution to streamline and standardize our people processes
- Measure ROI and impact through data and metrics to derive insights for future opportunities

Reporting to the VP of People, you'll be a vital part of our People Leadership Team, collaborating with the Director of Talent Acquisition and Director of People Business Partners. The Experience You’ll Need
- A minimum of 10+ years progressive HR experience with 5 years as a manager/leader
- Experience leading the strategic design and execution of global compensation, equity, and benefit programs. (End to end/Strategy to execution)
- Experience building and advocating for equitability and inclusivity in total rewards
- Experience leading multiple projects within a fast paced environment, navigating complexity and ambiguity
- Experience building, growing and inspiring a high performing Total Rewards & Systems team
- Experience working with public company Executive compensation is a plus
- Biotech, Pharma or Tech industry experience is a plus

At Recursion, we believe that every employee should be compensated fairly. Based on the skill and level of experience required for this role, the estimated current annual base range for this role is:
- Developing: $222,500
- Skilled: $247,000
- Expert: $271,500

You will also be eligible for bonuses and equity compensation + our comprehensive benefits package for United States based candidates. The range displayed on each job posting reflects target ranges for US new hire salaries and is determined by job, level, and market factors. Â
