This opportunity is designed for the HR professional enthused by providing a broad range of services, including but not limited to: recruitment; employee development and training; employee and labor relations; employment law and policy interpretation; compensation and classification management; benefits administration; employee rewards/recognition; regulatory compliance guidance; and HR reporting.
You will serve as an integral partner to our global Customer Experience (CX) team, and Plant Management Team promoting and fostering an environment consistent with Resideo's mission and values while serving to support the need of the business.
Key Areas of Focus:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and employees to address employee engagement and employee relations issues and assure that corrective actions are conducted appropriately and consistently.
- Ensures corrective actions are implemented consistently, fairly, and legally across a plant environment.
- Prepare written responses and required documentation on a timely basis at each step in the grievance process.
- Drive Positive Employee Relations strategy for Resideo through the deployment of various labor relations tools like site assessment.
- Provide guidance to union representatives on common labor relations issues such as contract interpretation, outsourcing, layoffs, unfair labor practice charges, and the grievance procedure (including arbitrations).
- Support recruitment activities to source and hire CX-Employees and plant positions ranging from front line production to technical plant positions.
- Provide HR-counsel on issues that are often non-routine and complex, requiring research, analysis, consideration of precedent, collaboration with employment counsel and ultimately the recommendation of an appropriate response based on legal compliance, business needs and doing the right thing.
- Stays apprised of labor & employee relations and general human resources trends.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Business or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in HR in Manufacturing / Distribution or Warehouse facility.
- 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, Employee Relations or a related role conducting complaint investigations related to Federal, State, Local employment and labor laws.
