Summary:
Provides exceptional technical support of all remote site Infrastructures as well as assisting with some assignments/projects. As a confident and outspoken decision maker, you will investigate and resolve problems for the entire information technology solutions including our wireless access points, security appliances, switches, and other technologies. Supports the design, analysis, development and implementation of engineering infrastructure solutions of projects and/or work requests for complex business solutions. Troubleshoots and proceeds on resolving infrastructure compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, customer expectations, etc. May be involved in the creation of design specifications and the development and application of utility programs and may resolve infrastructure compatibility problems as they arise. Responsibilities may include risks assessments, partnering on capacity planning, budget forecasting, and the diagnosis and correction of application/network problems. May serve as the primary contact for vendors. Technologies span mainframe, midrange, desktop, server, network data, voice, messaging, web, database, and output/receiving. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. Focuses on providing thought leadership within Infrastructure support. Recognized internally as a subject matter expert.
Duties:
• Provisioning, monitoring and maintenance of hardware, software and network in new and existing remote sites
• Ensuring system availability and reliability
• Working with a team on an out-of-hours on-call support rotation
• Collaborating with internal teams for day to day activities.
• Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g. switches and routers)
• Proactively contributing to documentation, automation and processes as they evolve including standard operating procedures
• Seeking opportunities to introduce cutting-edge technology and automation solutions that are effective, efficient and scalable in order to improve our ability to deploy and maintain our infrastructure.
• Supporting and troubleshooting second and third tier escalations to resolve issues
Skills:
Cisco Routing & Switching (CCNP or equivalent skill and experience)
Experience in WAN/LAN and transport technologies (Ethernet, MPLS, TDM, DMVPN)
SD-WAN Deployment Experience (Viptela)
Deploying Cisco networks utilizing industry best practices
Cisco Wireless Configurations (CCNP level or equivalent skill and experience).
Working knowledge of basic scripting and network automation.
HIGHLY PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Cisco ASR/ISR routers, SDWAN with Cisco/Viptela vEdge/cEdge routers, Cisco Catalyst 9000/4500 series switches, Cisco ISE, Cisco Wireless Controllers, Aruba, Meraki
Other Skills of Interest:
InfoBlox IPAM, Cisco DNA, Viptella, Automation (Python/Ansible), NFV Technologies
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 111,900 - 186,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
