What you’ll do:

Perform skilled maintenance and repair work involving a variety of trades.

What you can expect:

  • Perform building repairs, adjustment and installation tasks to include: replacing floor tiles, cove base and carpeting ceiling tiles, VAV and FPB filters, HVAC supply and return air diffusers, venetian blinds, window shades, lighting ballast and low voltage controls, plumbing fixtures and equipment and variety of other materials and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, installation, repair, removal, replacement on mechanical and electrical building components
  • Maintain, repair, reconfigure and install office and modular office furniture and equipment using blueprints, simple drawings and written/verbal instructions
  • Assist with ergonomic adjustments and reconfiguration of workstations for employee health programs, which may include installation of various types of ergonomic devices and equipment and movement of employees and their personal items
  • Set up and dismantle, tables, chairs, personal computers, telephones and related audio-video equipment utilized for meetings and training functions
  • Inspect and diagnosis problems, plan how work will be completed, checking blueprints, mechanical and electrical schematics and repair manuals
  • Perform locksmith duties such as re-keying lockset to office doors and equipment to include: replacing tumblers, barrels, pivot hinges including some troubleshooting and repair on electric locksets, mortises and paddle panic bars.
  • Landscaping to include cutting grass, trimming bushes, fall cleanup, irrigation repairs etc.
  • Open, complete and close all work orders assigned in the department intranet tracking system
  • Order supplies and repair parts, replace or fix worn and broken parts; make necessary adjustments
  • Document facilities processes for procedures manual monthly
  • Ensure day-to-day activities are consistent with discipline strategies and standard processes
  • Assist management in implementing team operational strategies to achieve financial and business objectives (profit, growth, retention and customer experience strategies).
  • Provide mentoring, daily desk-level quality assurance, coaching, and on-the-job training to ensure discipline consistency and performance oversight

What you need to be successful:

High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a degree is encouraged and supported. Three years building maintenance and repair experience required. Completion of a formalized apprenticeship-training certificate at a journeyman level in the building trades industry preferred. Basic Air Conditioning and refrigeration and/or high or low voltage and/or plumbing certification required or equivalent industry experience. Locksmith training a plus. Must be able to read blueprint and mechanical and electrical schematics. Must have Microsoft office skills. Forklift certification a plus. Painting and staining experience a plus

The compensation amount for this role is targeted at $25.82-$30.00 per hour. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including your experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
