Job Description
Erasca is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on discovering, developing and commercializing medicines for the benefit of patients with cancer. Reporting to the SVP Finance, the Senior Manager of Payroll and Equity Administration will administer the payroll and stock administrative functions at Erasca. The ideal candidate will have deep experience managing payroll operations. This position will foster relationships with outsourced providers and with internal stakeholders by establishing and maintaining exceptional business relationships and working collaboratively. It is critical that you are a hands-on Payroll administrator in a public company setting.
Note this is a full time or part time (60-75%) contract role, anticipated to last at least 4 months.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â
- Partner with key stakeholders in our Finance, Accounting, HR and Legal teams to ensure timely and accurate record-keeping for payroll and equity programsÂ
- Manage and participate in the entire payroll and timekeeping process, including reviewing, validating, and reconciling payroll data to ensure accurate payroll payments, reporting and records on a timely basis  Â
- Ensure payroll and equity records/processes maintain compliance with applicable laws and company policies Â
- Responsible for period-end close including journal entries and reconciliations for payroll, benefits, and stock compensationÂ
- Prepare or review annual tax-related documents for payroll and equity transactions Â
- Support internal and external auditors by preparing timely PBC requests and responding to questions Â
- Administer Company equity plan including the processing of all employee stock transactions in record keeping systems Â
- Review and approve equity related payroll transactions and ensure compliance with tax withholding requirements Â
- Maintain employee stock purchase program which includes leading bi-annual plan enrollment sessions, responding to participant questions, recording all purchase transactions and ensuring contribution elections and changes are processed in payroll and equity systems Â
- Manage outsourced equity administration and financial reporting function, ensuring that all equity transactions such as grants, cancellations and exercises, including required regulatory filings, are accurately recorded in a timely manner Â
- Manage and execute the 401K process through BlueStar including non-discriminatory testing (NDT) and other compliance reportin
- Comply with company policies, including the performance of SOX internal control procedures with high-quality documentation Â
- Perform all duties in keeping with the Company’s core values, policies and all applicable regulationsÂ
Required Education and Experience: Â
- Undergraduate degree with at least 6 years of payroll experience required; experience as stock administrator highly preferred
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) and/or CEP (Certified Equity Professional) certification a plusÂ
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxesÂ
- Experience with US GAAP stock-based compensation standardsÂ
- Experience with payroll and equity administration platforms (Equity Edge preferred)
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, flexibility, attention to detail, and an ability to maintain strict privacy of confidential financial data Â
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills; must be a collaborative team player with a can-do attitude and the ability to identify and implement creative solutions to complex technical problemsÂ
