Job Description
This position is accountable for project success regarding planning and developing an executable construction plan, project budget and schedule of values, project management, contract review, quotes and selection of subcontractors and vendors, client relations and customer satisfaction, billing, change order management, and project close out. Works closely with project foreman on risk/problem identification and resolution. Project Managers are our customers’ primary point of contact during the construction phase of our projects and must have strong communication skills to foster good client relationships as well as communicate status and expectations throughout the project’s execution.
Senior Project Managers manage jobs of higher complexity, dollar amount and also may manage a higher number of jobs than a Project Manager. A Senior Project Manager may supervise others.
Qualifications & Skills Desired
• 5+ years of experience managing commercial projects in a diverse array of sectors
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, electrical theory and code knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, or equivalent experience and training
• Project management-related certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, etc.) desired
• Excellent customer service and communication skills to convey project needs and risks to stakeholders
• Ability to analyze problems, conflict-resolution, and focus on big picture delivery without losing sight of details
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, timely, and concisely written documentation and presentations
• Prior experience in electrical estimating preferred
• Procurement experience (RFI, RFP, RFQ, etc.)
• Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, ProCore, McCormick)
