Position Title: Sr. Business Intelligence Specialist

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works with Global Information Systems - Center of Excellence (COE) colleagues and project sponsors/customers to determine the long-term application architecture and strategy;
• Oversees major applications integration efforts, this includes but not limited to: designs, codes, tests, installs, and supports complex integrated application systems;
• Guides the customization, implementation and support of purchased package applications;
• Analyzes and provides technical advice and direction regarding the interface/integrate of supported systems with the rest of the application portfolio;
• Analyzes how the supported applications can best serve business functions;
• Recognizes the impact to the business of proposed application changes and advises IS colleagues accordingly;
• Interacts with customers, Business Process Specialist and vendors to quantify system requirements, and coordinate system integration testing, migration and roll-out;
• Identifies, evaluates and recommends alternative technical solutions for best fit to business;
• Oversees the initial pilot and recommends guidelines and standards for use;
• Serves as Project Manager or participates on project teams on strategic long-range and highly complex projects that span the organization, crossing business unit boundaries;
• As a project manager, will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of assigned project team to meet project milestones;
• Proactively reviews and interprets performance against operating plans and standards;
• Provides information and reports to subordinates on interpretation of results and approves changes in plans;
• Presents reports on project performance, changes, scope variations, and other related matters and/or participates in key management activities committees advising project sponsors or senior management accordingly; and
• Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• 11 years of experience managing systems developing in new computing architecture and environments;
• 11 years of experience with BI (Business Intelligence) development and architecture design;
• 7 years of experience working with EACH of the following BI (Business Intelligence) Systems:
  • SAP BOBJ
  • SAP HANA
  • SAP ERP
  • SAP ABAP
  • SAP BODS
• 5 years of experience working with EACH of the following:
  • Analysis for Office
  • Microsoft SSAS
  • Taleau
  • SDA
  • SLT
• 5 years of experience developing Enterprise BI (Business Intelligence) Solutions on multiple EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) platforms (Example: HANA, SQLServer);
• 5 years of experience with integration of EACH of the following:
  • SAP BOBJ
  • SAP HANA
• 5 years of experience using SAP Data Services Extractors;
• 5 years of experience implementing EACH of the following:
  • SDI
  • SAP BOBJ
  • Taleau
  • Power BI
  • SAP Analytics Cloud on HANA
• 7 years of experience with understanding and application of data structures and data formats which include structured, unstructured, semi-structured, JSON, XML, and EDI;
• 7 years of extensive experience with EACH of the following:
  • HANA modeling using Graphical views
  • SQL scripted views
  • Stored procedures
  • Table functions
• 7 years of experience with EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) development life cycle from business requirement gathering to develop end to end solutions;
• 11 years of experience in EACH of the following:
  • Self- service BI
  • Agile BI development
• 11 years of experience with customer service skills.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
• Work from home available. Must reside within commuting distance from employer's Kennesaw, GA office.
• Requires approximately 25% travel to other company worksite locations.
• Experience may be gained concurrently.

In lieu of the above, the employer will also accept the following:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline with an Information Technology focus
• 9 years experience managing systems developing in new computing architecture and environments;
• 9 years of experience with BI (Business Intelligence) development and architecture design;
• 7 years of experience working with EACH of the following BI (Business Intelligence) Systems:
  • SAP BOBJ
  • SAP HANA
  • SAP ERP
