About the Role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the data pipeline and infrastructure for our organization. This role requires strong data engineering and software engineering skills. With your Data engineering experience, you will help enable Data Platform tenets: Data is Discoverable, Data is Understandable, Data is Secure and Data is Trustworthy and Reliable.

Your role will involve collaborating with Product, Marketing and Analytics to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. A significant portion of your initial contribution will be designing and implementing data models and migrating data. This role will give you agency over data fidelity, integrity and quality. This role offers significant influence over technical decisions and is a tremendous opportunity to build our data pipeline along with the Platform. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering including 5+ years of experience in data engineering
• Proven expertise in building and managing scalable data platforms
• Proficiency in Python
• Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, data migration and database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Prior experience with data migration strategies is a must.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills optimizing data systems

Responsibilities:

• As a Senior Data Engineer, your primary responsibility is to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of a scalable and reliable data platform.
• Analyze the current database and warehouse. Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support data migration. 
• Build and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performing data platforms, including data lakes and/or warehouses. 
• Lead by example. Implement data engineering best practices and design patterns.
• Be subject matter expert and guide design reviews for any new features impacting data ensuring data platform tenets.
• Stay up to date with LLM; Collaborate with our GenAI engineers and leverage LLMs to lead Data Platform investments.

Base Salary Range: <<175k>>
