Job Summary
Skilled SRE or related field (DevOps, production operations) with 10+ years of hands-on experience supporting, automating, and optimizing mission critical deployments, leveraging configuration management, CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins, Git, Terraform or similar, while reducing technical debt in alignment with product and technology roadmaps.3 years of experience in microservices using GKE, Docker. Plays a role in Agile planning, providing advice and guidance, and monitoring emerging trends.
Job Functions
- Architecting, installing and configuring the platform using tools and technologies like Ansible, Bash scripting, Git, ElasticSearch, Fluentd, Logstash, Kibana, Cassandra, Hawkular - Metrics, Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager.
- Automate deployments for microservices using Docker containers, Kubernetes in GCP
- Establish an automated DevOps release management pipeline (e.g., build, staging, testing, deployment) to deliver superior application development (the Dev) and on-going production operations (the Ops)
- Build CI/CD solutions to improve rapid deployments as well as Improving build system by adding parallelized builds, quicker build failure indication, automated notifications of results & packaging
- Extensive experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and proven mastery of one or more cloud platforms AWS, GCP, Azure
- Experience with performance tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting server OS issues (CPU, Memory and I/O).
- Continuously improve cloud infrastructure to be easy to deploy, scalable, secure and fault-tolerant
- Communicate and collaborate with developers, project managers, QA engineers, and database admins
- Create and implement procedures to improve code delivery and system availability
- Performs trouble-shooting environment/code/config issues, when necessary, provides BAU support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products
- Maintains, upgrades, and supports existing systems and infrastructure to ensure operational stability
- Administer, automate, and manage Linux/Windows environments
- Actively works with internal teams in providing technical guidance and oversight, work collaboratively with offshore team (IST)
- Keeps abreast of innovations and industry trends as well as changes to internal systems and determines how they impacts tools, training, and support necessary to keep systems up, running, and secure
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Minimum Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
- 4+ years of CI/CD experience along with container orchestration framework such as Kubernetes, Docker
- Experience supporting Linux systems hosted in a cloud environment & deploying Infrastructure as a code
- Experience with Fluentd, Prometheus, Helm, GKE and similar tech
- Experience with application telemetry, monitoring and alerting solutions (Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace or similar
