What You Will Be Doing

We are seeking a Senior Product Marketing leader to join our growing Marketing team.  The ideal candidate has experience in electric, mobility or alternative energy markets, is passionate about delighting customers and would thrive in a fast-paced, early market environment. This role requires an experienced leader in product positioning and messaging, developing marketing and sales support materials, and identifying and capitalizing on market trends. Your team will develop effective product marketing strategies to expand the reach of ChargePoint’s B2B and B2B2C offerings.

If you are an enthusiastic, creative leader and communicator, this is the role for you. You must be able to define the charter, set targets, partner across the organization, clearly prioritize workloads, manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive initiatives to completion. To succeed in this role, you must develop strong working relationships and interactions with Product, Sales, Policy and Customer Success and your Marketing colleagues within ChargePoint.


What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • Develop product positioning, messaging, and value propositions to differentiate ChargePoint solutions in the market. Ensure consistency and alignment of messaging across products, channels, and touchpoints.
  • Build engaging product and technical-specific content, including case studies, solution briefs, web content, presentations, data sheets, whitepapers, and playbooks that can be utilized globally.
  • Educate the market about ChargePoint core technical value through multiple channels, assets and resources.
  • Become an expert in our key user personas and create compelling product demos and presentations that speak to their business challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, sales, GTM and customer success to ensure alignment of product and marketing strategies.
  • Work closely with global teams to understand region-specific requirements for ChargePoint success.
  • Partner closely with product teams to shape differentiated product investments that drive innovation.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to ensure our products remain competitive.
  • Mentor and lead a team of product marketers to deliver high-quality work.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in product or solution marketing for B2B enterprise or SaaS company; 8+ years leading teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or computer science, or relevant experience; MBA with marketing focus preferred
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful B2B product marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in crafting compelling marketing content, storytelling, messaging, and positioning
  • Ability to translate technical speak into market-friendly communications
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities, as well as a talent for fostering strong interpersonal relations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
  • Domain knowledge in electric vehicles, sustainable energy, mobility or related ecosystem

Location

  • Full-time, on-site position in Campbell, CA

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. 

The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $182,500 to $287,500. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
